Customize WorkBench ProjectSlides Panel (Right Panel)

We're trying customize the way the Presentation WorkBench in the Web Client highlighting the changed slide(s) of a Saved WorkBench file in the right side panel. After opened a saved workbench file and if one or more slides' Source presentation was changed (content or position) it will highlight all the effected slides. We want to make it only highlight the slides with content changed NOT the slide's position changed. While digging in the source code and we've located the piece of code that's doing the load of the saved workbench file in the right panel (Function ShowSlides() inside the ppt_WorkBench-ProjectSlides.asp file (line 208). But couldn't figure out the portion where the highlight of the slides is taking place.

We did talk to IWOV consultant group but did not get much help and they wanted about 27K for this.

Has anyone done this successfully? If so, could you share some pointers? Or any suggestions from our MB peers out there would be greatly appreciated.
We're on MB 4.6.1 currently.
