Teamsite Presentation Templates with MediaBin

I am running Interwoven v6.7.2 and trying to insert an image from media bin into my presentation template. it seems like the information is being captured in the DCR.

The value in the DCR looks like
teamsite/internet/site-name/images/jpg/image.jpg

I am trying to acheive a couple things:

I want to make sure images are stored in the correct folder on the teamsite server

I want to make sure the presentation template references the images and removes the "teamsite/internet/site-name/"

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Eventually I stumbled across this file which seems to explain all the questions I had.
