Problem in setVisible() for Item inside replicant

deveshhassani

Hi

There is requirement to create Image container which contains the following fields:
1) 0 External Image 0 Internal Image ------------ Radio Buttons
2) Internal Image ------- Browse Button Internal Image URL ------TextField
3) External Image ------ TextField External Image URL ------- Textfield

The above fields are replicant (min = 0, max = 2).Default value of the radio button is Internal Image. So if user add replicant user should be able to see only Internal Image and URL and if he changes the selection he should be able to see External Image and URL.

To implement above functionality I have written code on replicant add which set the Internal Image and URL visible for Default and on Radio Button Item Change another function which set the element visble on basis of selection.

If I remove the function being called on add on replicant then function on Radio Button on Item Change works fine, But both function are not working together.

Please find the code for datacapture and javascript file attached below.

Is there any other way to achieve th requirement.

Does the fact that your onReplicantAdded function explicitly sets all the fields to hidden have something to do with the problem you are seeing?

...
function displayMarketing(type){
    type += "";
    var temp =type.split("replicant ");
    var temp2 = temp[1].split("[");
    var imageButtonPath = temp2[0];
    var temp3 = temp2[1].split("]]");
    var index = temp3[0];
    IWDatacapture.getItem(imageButtonPath +"["+index+"]"+"/marketing_image").setVisible(false);
    IWDatacapture.getItem(imageButtonPath +"["+index+"]"+"/marketing_image_url").setVisible(false);
    IWDatacapture.getItem(imageButtonPath +"["+index+"]"+"/external_marketing_image").setVisible(false);
    IWDatacapture.getItem(imageButtonPath +"["+index+"]"+"/external_marketing_image_url").setVisible(false);

    //setMarketingImageValidity(imageButtonPath,index);
}
...

Note: I think your code above is far more complex than it needs to be - I think the following should do what you want:

function displayMarketing(item){
    IWDatacapture.getItem(item.getName() + "/marketing_image").setVisible(true);
    IWDatacapture.getItem(item.getName() + "/marketing_image_url").setVisible(true);
    IWDatacapture.getItem(item.getName() + "/external_marketing_image").setVisible(false);
    IWDatacapture.getItem(item.getName() + "/external_marketing_image_url").setVisible(false);
}

Although I admit to being a bit confused by the pathing, since it's been a long time since I've worked with an "iwov" style of DCT - so the above is based on the assumption that your basic code was correct, just the logic part was in question.
