I am on TS 6.7.2 and OD 6.2.1 on Windows 2003. We have a tpl which does a Data Deploy on preview/generate. For some reason the code doesn't execute and always returns 256 (Which is 1 ) and doesn't return anything when using backticks. Can anyone point out a hard way to debug this? Here is my code snippet.
my $dataCMD = "$ddhome\\bin\\iwodcmd.exe start $ddcfg -k iwdd=preview -k mybasearea=$myBaseArea -k mytemplatepath=$path";print LOGFILE "Data CMD: $dataCMD\n";my $dataResult = system($dataCMD);
All my variables are perfectly defined, if i take the variable $dataCMD from the logfile and run it from command line everything works fine, so my problem is last line in the snippet. Is there a manadatory or forcing the system to execute the line?Thank You
...$ddhome =~ tr|\\|/|;my $dataCMD = "$ddhome/bin/iwodcmd.exe start $ddcfg -k iwdd=preview -k mybasearea=$myBaseArea -k mytemplatepath=$path";print LOGFILE "Data CMD: $dataCMD\n";my $dataResult = qx($dataCMD 2>&1);print LOGFILE "RESULTS ($?): $dataResult\n";...
Thank You Adam, I did try it and this time it is more informative,RESULTS : Unable to Connect to OpenDeploy daemonReason: Failed to create SocketReason: sockErr=10106, UnknownCheck that the OpenDeploy server on host localhost is listening on port 3434. I did do a netstat and found that I do not have 3434 or 10106 listed there. Where would i have went wrong?Thank You
everything seems fine. After repeated beating on the code, it was a single Env variable setting which is throwing the OD deamon.we were using "set_env Vars()", it seems like this is a Bug in TeamSite, can some one throw light on this and what it does?Thank You
this is used in a tpl, followed by statements to do DD while previewing.Thank You
set_env Vars()
