Hi,

Does anyone over here created JRules programatically? I mean i have been given an XML file and need to update JRules, is it possible or needs to be done manually by content authors and rule managers??

In broader vision, i have been given some xmls which define the preferences of the user. Now i need to use them all to target the content and looking out for options or suggestions.

In this case, i need to target all products on my site related to painting and astrology for that particular user.

what you need to do is create a custom user profile object that will be populated with these preference values.

You will need to then customize the rule BOM to expose these values to the rules engine.

you should look at the 3.1 docs for more details.
