Hi all,

i want to open deploy 3GB content from one box to the another teamsite box.

is there any method of doing full deployment ( not file based ) on to this box?

i don't want to use directory comparison or edition comparison.

please let me if any method is there.

Well, since you ruled out file list deployment, directory comparison and edition comparison - which are the three methods available for OpenDeploy - I guess the answer is "no".

Why do you not want to use directory comparison? That would seem the most logical approach.

i have used this.but taking more time.
more than 20 hrs for deploying 3GB content.

i want the deployment method where no comparison takes place.
since it has huge amount of files , i cannot use file based as well ( too tedious to specify all the file name )

Why tedious? You could make a simple script using find (on Unix) or File::Find or TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

irwalk on either Windows or Unix - to generate the file list to be deployed. However - it's really a lot simpler than all that. Just create a file list that contains the contents of the source root directory (files and sub-directories - specified as "./****") and do a filelist deployment.

OpenDeploy (at least 6.2.0 P1) will deploy the files from the root directory and recurse through all the sub-directories deploying those files too. And because it's a filelist deployment, no comparison is performed.

Note - if you're concerned about speed, you also probably want to make sure the deployment is non-transactional, and perhaps make sure the server configuration (odbase.xml and odrcvr.xml) files have

as both transactional and event reporting add overhead costs to the overall deployment process. (once you're done with this 3 Gb deployment, you should probably restore any settings you changed for it)
