Simple usertask Error

I am on TS 6.7.1 on Linux, I am getting simple syntax error for this attached workflow. It is pointing me at the description line for some reason. Can any one let me know if this is correct in the logic.

Can you get the actual XML that is generated and post it ? That is much easier to debug since one does not need to try to figure out what your template_script does.

I couldn't see any task error , but i can see some perl error.

post the error you are getting

use TeamSite::Flexroles qw(get_users_having_roles
convert_list_to_html_select);

I coun't see the Flexroles.pm ??

Flexroles.pm comes with TeamSite 671 - since you're using 65 (according to your signature) that explains why you don't see it, and get an error when trying to run a script the uses it.

In the same code i was trying to implement the functioanlity where if a Manager or in this case a editor is selected then the user task is active and for that editor.

(Same code as explained in manual when you are adding a whole user task of adding files before review task.)

You have to change:[html]q{};[/html]to

q{<succ v="Edit_Content_} . __VALUE__('contributor') . q{"/>};

Within Perl code you have to use __VALUE__() not __TAG__() and you have to separate the string value ("Edit_Content_") from the function call (__VALUE__('contributor')) - otherwise the code sees simply a literal string ("Edit_Content___VALUE('contributor');") instead of a string followed by a function call. (note you don't want the semi-colon after the function call because it's not the end of the expression).

Try that (in both locations of the posted code) and see if that helps resolve the problem.

Well I played with this workflow really hard and could get successful to a point that if i do not provide any "Mandatory_Approver" it works fine. But if i provide "Mandatory_Approver" it is throwing me an error. Erros is as showin the picture attached.Can any one point me out where i am going wrong? I do not see the "Mandatory_Approver" task in the xml while debugging.

I am missing a small thing please let me know what it is. Latest Workflow is as attached to this post.

I know you would ask, I have seen that "Mandatory_Approver" task is missing form this xml file. but not sure why.

It looks like you are getting the Mandatory_Approver section before the main part of the workflow.

I suspect you need to move $_this_->__INSERT__($mapapprover); later in the file though I am not certain exactly where.

FYI you have a my $mapapprover in the definition, so if you were to use it out of the if/then/else block where it is defined, then it will be null.

Thank You Andy, I did put the if/else part right in between Author Work and Submit. So it is good that atleast the erro has changed. Here is the part which was inserted.

Now the problem is with __INSERT__(); because the xml shows that the Mandatory_Approver is not correctly identifying the succ and pred. HEre is the xml part for Mandatory_approver.

So my assumtion is instead of __INSERT__() is not working fine, it has to take just the value.please advice.

Thank You all, I go this working. I removed the __INSERT__ and have the perl variable directly in the Task.
