Removing content of deleted DCRs in Database

Hi,

The scenario is that there is dbschema file that creates a table in DB.

DCR is submitted via custom workflow.

Now if I edit/create new DCR, its content reflected in database. No issues.

However, if I delete DCR from data folder and then execute the DD, this
DCRs content does not get erased from table.

So, please help how to handle this scenario with least customization.

Hi Adi,
There are two solutions which I am getting right now.
1) Either You delete contents through workflow ,i.e,You will have to make a
workflow for deleting Contents from database.

Or 2)Enable DAS.

Use Delete tracker option yes in ur DD config file

ex:
database use="$database" enforce-ri="yes" delete-tracker="yes" update-type="standalone" >

Look out for filters and permission rules of DD config in order for creating a delete workflow. Never try to delete a row from DB table manually. Since this would have a reference to IWDELTRACKER table. If you design a delete workflow, deltracker could also be well managed - which is less risky and wont take much time to debug in case of issues.
