IW_INCLUDE Help

abiondo

I am having difficulty getting the IW_INCLUDE to work.

Here is what I did so far:

I have copied a main section I want to use on multiple templates into a file called include-body.tpl.
I have created a directory under templatedata called components
I have included the IW_INCLUDE tag on the main presentation template
I am just trying to get a basic example working
I have also tried variations of /templatedata and just components/include-body.tpl

Code for the main presentation template call

Code for the include-body.tpl

[/PHP]

See if this helps any:

<iw_include pt='../../../components/include-body.tpl' mode="ptlocal"/>

Do you know if you can use CDATA sections in the PT Include?

[PHP]

<img src="<iw_value name='(RelativePath(iwpt_dcr_value("RelatedImageCollection.path")))'/>" alt="<iw_value name='RelatedImageCollection.label'/>" class="<iw_value name='(SetAlignClass(iwpt_dcr_value("RelatedImageCollection.ImageAlignment")))'/>" height="<iw_value name='RelatedImageCollection.height'/>" width="<iw_value name='RelatedImageCollection.width'/>">

<h2><strong><iw_value name='SubTopicsCollection.Subtitle'/></strong></h2>
<iw_value name='SubTopicsCollection.SubParagraph'/>

[/PHP]

I don't know why not. Why? Are you having a problem with it?

Note - you can make your life a lot easier by changing

<iw_pt name="body>
   ...
</iw_pt>

<iw_pt name="body"/>
   ...

The value of this is that you no longer have to worry about the rest of the PT being well-formed XML, and thus no longer need to use CDATA elements (in 99% of the cases where you used to)
