error while preview in a branch

Hi All ,

We have an issue , we had created a branch , where we where making new tamplates and tlps , preview was working fine before but all of a sudden we start to get error in all branches in the newly created branches ,

Preview And Generate Error:

The following error occured while creating file Y:\default\main\dev\sandbox\WORKAREA\sandbox2\templatedata\zz_tst_tsadmin_0_manifest:
Broken pipe
The file was not generated.

any idea why this is happening , i have checked the log file is the local folder but no error as such which can pin point the error .

please advice !!!

Have you checked log files? Is there anything pointing in servletd_out.log?
Also mention your TS version & environment.

Steps To Resolve this

Navigate to [Y:\default\main\dev\sandbox\WORKAREA\sandbox2\].you will find files with prefix zz_* in parallel to templatedata.
Delete All Files.
Navigate to [iw.cfg].Search For [preview_history_limit=xx].Change its value to 500 or any number more than 50.max i have seen is 5000.
Cause of Problem:The TS preview_history_limit crossed its size,means you have more files with prefix [zz_*] than the limit defined in the iw.cfg

Not Sure for this,but you can try

Log-out From TS
Stop TS Services
Delete Files
Restart TS Services

You're suggesting that they delete files in a workarea when TeamSite is stopped? That's a neat trick if you can pull it off without totally **** up the backing store (into which you should not venture).

Perhaps reversing steps 3 and 4 might work and step 1 probably isn't necessary.
