Completed task in Workflow

Hi There,

Is there a way to find the last completed task for a job. I am able to find the current active task, but not the last completed task.

The following is the code I have to get the active task.

my $rootnode = TeamSite::XMLnode->new($xml);

my $activation_time = $rootnode->value('@activationtime');
$activation_time = localtime($activation_time);

my $active_task = $rootnode->value('activetasks.id.@v');
my $task = TeamSite::WFtask->new($active_task);

Any help is hight appreiciated.

TeamSite::WFtask::GetUnactivationTime() returns the Unactivation time in epoch seconds (or undef).
You can probably search for the Task with the biggest (eg latest) one although it's hard to see a Use Case for such info

Thanks for your replies.

I am asked to come up with a custom report for Jobs.

The report should have the following:

1. WORKAREA (Branch)
2. Job Number
3. Job Description
4. Owner
5. Requested By
6. Inititated Date
7. Duration
8. Last Task Completed / Task Description
9. Attached Files.

I got all the above values except the 8. Last Task Completed / Task Description

Hope this explains what I try to accomplish.

If you look through the output of iwgetwfobj jobid you should be able to determine the last transitioned task via the events / transition comments - alternatively you could plow through the iwevents.log and find the transition information there - or create an iwat trigger script that monitors the various workflow events you wish to report on and generate information from there.

Or - you could shell out some $$'s and buy ReportCenter and CrystalReports - which I believe would provide what you want "OOTB".

If you're using WFM's (as opposed to WFT's) you can see the current status of the workflow by clicking on the little icon next to the job - though the interface provided is only as good as the model used to create it (complex workflow models do not, IMO, display well in WFM)
