Unable to get the values onto the DCT.

I am trying to get a dropdown with a list of values firing it using a query. And I am calling the query using a parameter from a Java command line argument. When I am hitting this on server it just works fine but when I am using it in the DCT code, it is not populating the values. What could be the problem. Anybody did faced this problem anytime ?

I could be wrong but I don't think you can call the command line directly.

What I've seen is using the FormAPI callServer method to a Java Servlet. The Java Servlet would do your database processing and pass back the values to the FormAPI to construct the list.

The above is one way of doing things.. Are you using the datasource method?

are you sure you return the set of values in the right form? Something wrapped into substitution tags?
