When you create a new file, the Launch Editor checkbox indicates whether you want to edit this new file on creation in the associated editor.

When you create a new file, the Launch Editor checkbox indicates whether you want to edit this new file on creation in the associated editor.

LauncPad is what it's called - it's a Java applet/application that deals with transferring the selected file from TeamSite to your local disk and initiating an editor on that file.
