TeamSite mirroring

Hi,
We are using TeamSite 6.1 SP2 on Solaris 8 platform.
Now we want to move TeamSite server on a new server with new hardware and Solaris 9.
Can we do mirroring of TeamSite from old server to new server?

or

do we need to install TeamSite 6.1 SP2 again on new server and manually copy all the configuration and custom files?

You will need to re-install and re-apply customizations.

Mirrioring is recommended on identical hardware & OS environments unlike your case where hardware and OS will change for the teamsite application .

Since TS6.1 is EOL now Migrating the backing store and customization to a new install ts61sp2-->ts6.7.x would be the right approach .

I've always found it easier to install the newer version fresh on the new server and apply your customisations afterwards. No legacy configs etc which you'd get if you upgraded.
