OpenDeploy service stops

TS W2K 5.0.1 server w/OD 4.5.2 installed. We installed OD 5.5.1 on the same server (using another port).

Now OD 5.5.1 service has inexplicably failed four times in a week and needed to be (re)started.

Any idea why the service stops? Anything we can check.

Do you have any OD5.5.1 service packs installed? When you say the service stopped you mean the OD service itself and not the OD admin gui, right?

Is there any indication in the od.log or the odbase/odrcvr_log?

We are experiencing the same problem here. We installed OD 5.5.1 receiver on an NT server that was running 4.2.1 and now the Interwoven OpenDeploy Service stops running spontaneously. We need to manually restart it and then ewe can go again until the next time. 4.2.1 never stopped running.

We are running 5.01 and have had the problem recently with it shutting down at various times during the day. It doesn't fail (we have measures in place to take care of failures) it just stops. We have no way of knowing until we look out on our web server and see that the content is not there.

We are having the same problem on both our NT AND Solaris machines. There is a KB article that addresses this. You basically need to install the latest version of JRE. However, this is only applicable to NT/Win2k...don't know if it was meant for Solaris.
