Cannot instantiate tasks

TS 6.7.2 patch 2

We are facing an issue when running perl scripts through our workflows. Whe I do the following:

This code used to work all tasks that execute perl scripts.
Two things happened before this occurred. We installed a hot fix to disable a save error feature and we added more space to our C and D drives. Then we noticed about this issue, s I decided to roll back the changes for the hot fix, restarted the services, and server and still it didn't work. Next, I installed SP1 thinking that it might fix, but it didn't.

I checked TS logs and I can see the following:

As you can above TTaskTimeoutCB:rocess: bad workflow shows that the tasks instantiation fails for the workflow.

I'm running out of options here.

What can make this not to work anymore?
is there any way to repair TS?
Perhaps any configuration files have been corrupted or moved somewhere else?
Any ideas on how to approach this issue?
Any suggestions?

You need to show the exact command specification in your WF, and you need to show the code in your Perl script that parses @ARGV.

My guess - you're parsing something incorrectly and using the wrong id for job or task object creation.

Hi,

I just attached the perl script, please take a look at it and let me know if something is wrong with it. Just to let you know the order of ARGV always worked before so it'll be hard to believe that I'm using the jobId instead of taskId.

Post the debug output from the script that you run,

but this looks suspect:

is the folder iwhome/tmp/cci available ? Is it writable by everyone ? How many files are in there ?

Hi,

there's no folder cci. I think it was deleted at the same time the workflows stopped working. I checked staging where the workflows are working and there's cci folder with no files in it and everyone has full permission.

Do I need that folder there? how many files should be in it?
Should copy the one from staging to see if that fixes the problem?

Make certian it is world writable. WFT uses it as a place to make temp files. It is documented *somewhere*.
