MediaBin Enterpise Manager - add LDAP user

Hi,

I'm using MediaBin Enterprise Manager to add LDAP users to MediaBin to be part of MBPAdmins. So I try to find a user and select LDAP and enter user and click Search and nothing comes up. Somehow it can't find LDAP users.

Any suggestions?

Just to confirm you are able to use the literal "LDAP" in domain name of the login screen and able to log into MB. Is that correct?

yes that's correct but when I want to set permissions for individual LDAP users within MB Enterprise Manager, it doesn't find them, it only shows local users. For example, my MB server is called cam-mb1 and the users that MB shows in the Enterprise Manager are cam-mb1\tsadministrators, cam-mb1\everyone, etc. LDAP credentials like tcc\jsmith or tcc\cduran will not show in the manager even though I tried to search in the Enterprise Manager, nothign comes up when I select LDAP from the dropdown list. However, I'm able to login as tcc\jsmith web client, but I want set permissions for tcc\jsmith which at the moment is not possible because I don't find LDAP users within MB Enterprise Manager.

Any suggestions?

Please read my post above again. Are you able to login with LDAP\jsmith? If not your LDAP configuration in MB Enterprise Manager is not set correctly and thus MB is not able to connect to your LDAP to get users.

MediaBin authenticates all users originating from (or stored in) a LDAP directory by specifying 'LDAP' as the domain setting.
From your responses, it is unclear that you have properly configured the settings required for the MediaBin Server to communicate with your LDAP directory. I would suggest contacting Interwoven support to talk you through your configuration parameters. There is also much information in the MediaBin documentation but you must have familiarity with the configuration of your LDAP directory in order to proceed.
