Structural Changes in CTD

Hi ,

We are currently migrating from WEM 8.1 to WEM 10.5

We found that 2 of our CTD are using timestamp widget which is not working in WEM 10.5. Opentext provided same type of widget in 10.5 so we now wants to switch to that.

However new widget uses database column as date however Timestamp uses varchar2.

That mean - we have to make structural changes in CTD, also convert our dates in the varchar2 to date column.

Currently we have arround 2000 CI ( for both ctd) in WEM 8.1.

For second part - we can do it either using some stored procedure or java utility ... however we are more concerned about first one.

I was going though the KB article and fould this article 17530768 but this for version 7.5 and earlier.

So may you please suggest best approach considering we have 2000 CI in WEM 8.1.. but we are mighrating to WEM 10.5 so we can make changes in CTD.

Thanks,

Triveni Awasthi

  • Hello Triveni,

You should be able to use “synchronize” option in 10.5. I suggest opening a support ticket for further assistance.

    Thanks,
