TeamSite migration from 6.7.1 to 6.7.2

Quick Question in regards to iwidmap and ACL permissions on the Y: drive. We are also migrating local Windows NT Groups to TeamSite Groups

We copied the backing store from TS 6.7.1 to TS 6.7.2, ran iwidmap for each Local NT group mapping it to a TeamSite group.

The SIDs were updated for each branch owner and for each owner and group on the workarea.

The question I have: Is iwidmap supposed to also update the SIDs associated with each folder and file under the workarea?

What I have noticed so far in testing is that the SIDs were not updated on files or folders under the work area. When I look at "permissions" in TeamSite (GUI) on files and folders, nothing is listed. If I look at the Y drive, I see the old SID on the files and folders. I would have expected the old SID to be changed to the iwglobal group.

Is it expected behavior to have iwidmap update the Branch and WA but not update the files and folders?

Do your TeamSite groups have different names than the original OS Groups? If not, there could be some confusion in that regard (especially when trying to write the mappings).

What are the steps you are using to do the mappings? Are you doing it 1-by-1 from the command line, or are you dumping the existing map, modifying it and re-importing it?

The groups have the same name aside from the leading hostname...

Old Local Group | New TeamSite Group
[hostname]\myGroup | myGroup

I created a script using "net localGroup" to get the local groups from the 6.7.1 box then another script is used to apply each group one by one on the 6.7.2 server using iwidmap.

I think you're better off dumping, editing, and then importing a map file using iwidmap - and you have to remember to do it with both the '-u' and '-g' flags because Windows groups have a tendency to appear in both maps.
