linking databases?

A customer would like to link a document in one DMS to another. When he drag and drops a document from one DMS folder to a folder on another DMS, it prompts to save it as a new document.

Is it possible to save it in the other DMS as a link to the original DMS?

Hi AntP, maybe I'm wrong but, I think it works as follows:

If you have two libraries under the same worksite server, if you drag and drop a document from lib A to a folder of lib B, the system will create a shortcut of the document in the target folder of the lib B.

However if you have registered more than one connection under you filesite node, don't think you can drag and drop docs between them, if you drag and drop a doc in the dms B is the same as if you are dropping from windows desktop i.e.

In my opinion if you want to link docs the libraries have to be registered under the same Worksite Server Service.
