JavaScript error when creating new DCR

Using the web interface, everytime I try to create a new DCR, I get this JavaScript Error:

Char: 11
Error: A null reference pointer was passed to the stub.
Code: 0
URL: http://dev-apqc1/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/tmplJavaBrowserSwitch.cgi/new_dcr

This happens on every computer here in the office so I'm pretty sure it's not a client side issue. And I know this sounds bizarre, but sometimes I can keep logging out and back in to IW, and maybe around the 7th try it wont error and will work fine.

The datacapture.cfg file only has 27 lines... I have attached the whole file for you to look at though.

What version of TeamSite Templating are you using? What patches do you have installed?

At first glance, this error is not caused by your DCT. It looks like it happens before the form actually successfully launches. In addition, this error sounds like a message comming from MS COM engine. What version of the browser are you trying this on? Is there something "different" about the client configuration? (I know this is a vague question. Different meaning services, security software, etc. Something common to your client machines that is different from the norm.)

The version of TeamSite is 5.0.1 Build 4328. If there is a different version for Templating, how do I get that? We have two different servers and the error happens on both.

We are using IE 6.0 to view teamsite through the webdesk.

To the best on my knowledge, IE 6.0 isn't supported in the TS 5.0 version. Try using IE 5.5 - I rember having problems with clients running IE 6.0 here. We resolved it by using IE 5.5

That's correct, I think you will need at least TS 5.02 (possible with a SP) in order to be able to use IE6
