Component with tinymce

Hi ,

My business has a new requirement , where they want to show a tiny-mce editor on the generated html to take input from the end user .

Its like a feedback form with a field for feedback which should be a "tiny-mce" editor field along with a submit and reset button .

I am wondering if we can display the editor to end user like this .

Any comments ??

Is during the review process of the generated file? How about using the VA?

No . its to take feedback of the website from the end user not the business-user .

Ah now it makes a bit more sense. In that case you'll have to implement TinyMCE or equivalent "formatter" on your own for your end web site. TinyMCE is open source plus there area few others out there as well.

yeah there are few other editors available for that .

but my question is that can we create a component in livesite where we can provide the functionality by which after the html is generated from the .page file the html contains a field with editor ?

Sure. Usually the way that this is done is that you have some <div> tags that wraps the entire "formatter" textarea within itself. Your component could output the necessary HTML (and output/reference any JS).

As I understand it, you want to have a page which has a textarea, which when generated the end-user will have a tinymce editor when the html is viewed. To do this you will have to include tinymce src as a script file on the page and make sure the component textarea is configured to use tinymce when rendered in one of the methods described in the tinymce ( http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/examples/full.php ).

The only issue you might run into is we also include tinymce for use on the page with in context editing and component properties. I'm not sure if a conflict might occur so you'll have to give it a try first.

So the breakdown is:
1. The component will have a textarea decorated as need for use with Tinymce
2. Attach the tinymce scripts via the page settings.
3. Verify it renders and functions as needed.
