iwaccessmigrate steps:

We are doing migration from TS 6.5 to TS6.7.2 (fresh install of 6.7.2). As part of user migration, when i ran iwaccessmigrate on TS 6.7.2, ownership of all branches have been transferred to root user. When i look at the clt document, it explains the following:

"On a per branch basis, the highest role of the owner of each branch is examined. If this role is master or administrator, the owner is assigned an owner permission entry with the administrator role (unless a different role is specified with the -b option). Otherwise, ownership of the branch is transferred to the root user, who is assigned an owner permission entry with the adminstrator role, and the original owner, if their highest role was editor or author, is assigned an user permission entry with that role."

Where does iwaccessmigrate gets role information from? Does this command gets information from *.uid files? Do we need to copy old uid files into 6.7.2 box before we run iwaccessmigrate?

Note that, one of the pre-requisite for iwaccessmigrate is to run iwusermigrate. we didnt run iwusermigrate, instead, created users on team site using custom script.

The preferred way of running iwaccessmigrate is with the -m option followed by running the command with -f option.
The -m option generates a manifest file (iwhome/local/logs/accessresults.xml).

You can Inspect the manifest and make sure it conforms to what is desired or make appropriate changes. Then, run the command with -f option - this time feeding the manifest file.
This CLT can be run at any stage to make the desired changes .
