Mapping the OLD [TS 5.X] to NEW [TS 6.7.2] version.

AIM: To map the old config files to new built TS version 6.7.2 in terms of [iw.cfg, submit.cfg, email mappings, permissions and groups]

Envi details: I have installed a new TS version 6.7.2 [WINDOWS], and I have static HTML contents / files in old TS 5.x version[UNIX MOUNT]. I have set the environment, but i need to map these old config files to the new one, to get the new TS work fine.

Also i need to map the extended attributes for the contents i copied from old TS [Unix based] to new TS [Windos Based]


Please let me know the steps and waht are the necessary changes that i have to perform.
Since i have a very short deadline, any quick help is appreciated. thnkz in advance

I don't know that there's any document detailing every different configuration file / change that occurred between versions, and certainly not between platforms - so you basically have to do this on your own.

I suggest you identify the configuration files that were customized on the old server and try to locate them on the new server and then compare / contrast them.

Your customizations (scripts, etc.) will have to be gone over one-by-one to determine if they need to be re-written and if so how.

If you want more help than that you need to either post details of explicit cases or hire someone who knows the various versions and platforms and can perform the job if you cannot.
