Boolean to String List

Can a Boolean field be converted to a String List field?

I am not sure of the answer but I am very wary of doing such things. I would go about creating a new field as a string list and then rename the other one. If you have to copy metadata you should be able to do that with a magical script.

Well, I was shown how to convert String List to Text by lyman, but I know the underpinnings in SQL are the same in that case.

What I was curious about was whether Booleans in MediaBin were truly SQL Booleans or just a type of String List (which thus means they are technically Text).

Going forward, I plan to suggest not using Boolean anymore and use a String List with two choices...makes field conversions easier if some decides they really needed 3+ choices...

Booleans are stored internally as integers and live in the SearchableLongs table. Is there a route to migrate...yes. However it will be a bit complicated to implement.
