Checking the task in workflow

I came across a wf which is uploading files(I guess to the staging ,but not sure ). When I click on submit after creatindg DCR, I get an option to choose this wf. After choosing this wf when I run job, it just uploads file. Now when I click on wf tab, I dont see anything. So what happens to this task ? Do I just nedd to check in the staging to check the files ? If I want to publish these filoes from staging, what to do next ?

Which workflow are you using? is it a custom workflow or any default workflow?
You can finf out what a workflow is doing by digging into its code or job specification file. If you are not able to see the job/task in the workflow tab, then its possible the job ends before you refresh the workflow tab. What you want to do with the uploaded/submitted files ?

Case-1

If its an WFT then analyse the wft file you will comes to know what actually that workflow is doing.

Case-2

If its an WFM then from modeller you can trace its functionality.

Now,if your WF is not showing any job detail and task detail,then it may be possible that it was using any external task or URLExternalTask which is calling an external perl script/java code that simply uploads the files to staging and the next transition was an End Task.

I had a workflow also which simply copies selected items to WA,as it was an exteranl java code called on URLExternalTask,so i had forwarded the next transition directly to WF EndTask after copying.So,nothing comes in Job Detail,even my the WF not comes in list under the WorkFlow Tab.

So,explore the wf and you will comes to know the reason .
