Is it possible to have Ajax code in the Presentation Template?

I have a requirement to build a tpl with Ajax code that calls some JFP components within the tpl.

Kindly let me know if I have ajax code within the tpl.

Out of the box, no. AJAX has been designed as JS Call, executed by the Browser. Template is
processed completely on the Server Side, by the Perl interpreter and/or XSL Parser.

There is Perl CGI::Ajax module available on CPAN, you'd have to install it though. Alternatively,
you may perhaps use LWP::UserAgent (for example) and send/receive/parse HTTP requests
from you PT, Ajax need not apply. There are no extra Modules to install in the latter case.
