I notice that Rename is not a menu option File menu) in the WebDesk interface. Authors who log into WebDesk Pro have access to the Rename command. Is there any way to add this command to the WebDesk interface?

There is no Rename, but there is a Move. You can use Move to rename a file (by not changing the directory), just as in Unix or Windows.
