Only .xml files not being pushed via Workflow

Hi,

We are currently using TeamSite 6.5 SP2 integrated with BEA Weblogic Portal 8.1 SP6.

Our website homepage is updated using the
1) homepage template
2) wData.xml file which contains the main flash images and links come This .xml is modified and uploaded to TS.

And then the template is generated and this works in preview, but when the workflow is submitted, it does not work in DEV.

After the workflow is submitted and approved, we can see that only the images folder, homepage.html and the corresponding DCR are being pushed to the Weblogic portal and the wData.xml is not being pushed(though it is being attached to the WF).

This happens only with xml files and only in the development environment.
In live, it works fine. But all the files are identical in both live and prod.

Also in TS staging we can see the modifed wData.xml, but not in the Weblogic staging. The OD logs do not have any errors.

Why is the that .xml files not being pushed to portal and hence not displayed appropriately! Any help !

Have you submitted the .xml file after modifying it using the default Submit WorkFlow ?

The homepage.tpl is responsible for attaching this wData.xml file and pushing it along with the others via the Workflow.

It attaches the images folder, html and xml. It is successfully pushing folder and html files, but not xml.

Can you help?

Check your OD deployment configuration. You might be excluding xml files from deployments.

Pawan

Check for the deployment filelist for OD and verify if the xml file is listed for deployment. If it is and its not deployed, then there should be some error messages in the OD logs, either receiver or base.
