FormAPI question

We're using FormAPI to validate our DCRs, but we're having the following problem with a drop-down box. If the radio field for ComplianceCodeSettings is set to "Not exempt", we want the drop-down box to be grayed out. (the way the text fields work) Here's the code:

What sort of problems are you seeing with this code?

When target type = 0, then the compliance code reason is not required. The field in the DCT is a drop-down box and we would like it grayed out or blank when the target type =0. (the same behavior as the text field.) Thanks.

Check-box Value is a String, not an integer. You can do something like var selection = item.getValue() * 1; to convert it.
Please note though that if your check-box has more than one option the Value may be "0,1" or "2,4,7" etc. JS will ignore conversion then

We're using a radio button for the compliance setting, not a checkbox. Also have tried the following two things but no luck:

Regardless, post your code, not just a fragment and explain what's wrong. You've explained what you want to
do but not what the issue really is. In other words:
