Hi All,
I am trying to rename a file using iwrename CLT using the following syntax :-
/usr/iw-home/bin/iwrename 2780_FF_Growth_&_Income_SP_Spa_0108.pdf 2780_ff_growth_&_income_sp.pdf
The following lines are returned when the above command is run :-
[1] 27695
[2] 27696
Usage: iwrename [-h|-v] old_vpath new_vpath
iwrename [-h|-v] old_areavpath new_areaname
-h Displays usage message.
-v Displays version.
old_vpath Specifies a vpath to a file, directory
to be renamed.
new_vpath Specifies a vpath which includes the new name.
old_areavpath Specifies a vpath to a workarea, edition or
branch to be renamed.
new_areaname Specifies the new name of the area.
bash: _Income_SP_Spa_0108.pdf: command not found
bash: _income_sp.pdf: command not found
[1]- Exit 1 /usr/iw-home/bin/iwrename 2780_FF_Growth_
[2]+ Exit 127 _Income_SP_Spa_0108.pdf 2780_ff_growth_
I think the problem is due to the presence of "&" in the file name.
Is there any limitation on the special characters that could be present in the file name.
Env Details :- TS 6.7.1, od 6.1.1 Solaris 10
Thanks,
Natasha.
