How to move content from one development environment to another?

How to move content from one development environment to another? I'm currently working on one development environment, after creating templates and content store, is it possible to move the content to another TeamSite Development environment? Is there some kind of syndication/synchronization process which does this inside teamsite?

If you want to move just a few templates, its better to recreate them on the new server or run a script which will do it. If you want to copy the whole content store with large content repository, then follow the migration steps depending on your TS and OS version.

You can use OpenDeploy to move one workarea to another on a different server.

As nipper stated, you can use OD to copy a workarea to a another server. You can also use OD to move an entire Content Store to another server.

How about if you want to move only several dcr files? For example one website we build may start off with duplicate sections. If we copy the files manually they act as if they are txt files in Interwoven's editor. I read some other articles mentioning iwmigrate, but we do not need to move the entire content store, so i am not sure if that is overkill.

Any advice is much appreciated.

As mentioned before, use TeamSite comparaison deployment to ensure that all extended attributes are copied along with content. look for this applyExtAttrs="yes" in the OD docs and you will know what i am talking about.

Within the same store you can copy to.

To another store you can copy the DCRs and with a simple script you can reapply the EAs.
