Regarding to Hide context "sites" from URL

Hi All,

Using Canonical URL Scheme we hided "format", "site-name" but we are unable to hide context "sites" from URL. Kindly please help to remove /sites from URL.

           RequestHeader set x-vgn-wem-locale "en_US" # Not Working

/sites is the name if the webapp, you cannot remove it !

Removing "/sites" from the URL has also been an extremely hot topic from our business lines (for SEO and other reasons). We tried doing some weird things in Apache but never ended up getting anything good enough to go to prod with. Support did advise me that it was possible, but I don't think that is correct.

Can anyone help how we can change the Local value. For example instead of showing "en_US" we want to show as "en". Similarly "ar" for "ar_QA".
