Deployment across opendeploy versions

Hi,

How can I complete a deployment from OD 5.6 base to OD 6.2 receiver.
Is there any OD patch which can help me on this.
Or is 5.6 base upward compatible with 6.2 receiver

Sometime back, I had set up filelist deployments from OD 6.2.x to OD 5.6 receiver using a patch.
So, wondering if there is some way out here too.

In general you should try to make sure that your base server is either the same version or newer than your receivers - I'd strongly recommend upgrading your base server.

We are on the process of migrating our old environment (TS 5.5.2 , OD 5.6) to the newer version. But till then, we need to keep this going.

These are extremely critical data and we had to settle down with OD 6.2 after server migrations.

Is there any way out?

Check the Support site for matrix's about what version of which product works with what version of what other product - but my guess is that you need to either upgrade your base server - or you might be able to install both versions of OD on your receivers and have them listen on different ports.

The fact that your organization has waited this long to upgrade is the reason you're in this mess...
