Windows XP compatable?
gregx
I see from this compatability chart:
https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/client_compatability.asp
that Windows XP is not supported as an end user operating system for TeamSite 5.0.2. What does this actually mean? What should I expect to work/not work? Are there any plans to support this in the future?
Thanks,
Greg

It means we didn't test TS 5.0.x with XP clients, so don't be suprised if there are browser-based problems when connecting to the TS server from an XP client. I don't know much about XP, but if you can run IE 5.5 or Netscape Navigator on it, I'd expect the basic webdesk and webdesk pro stuff to work, but I doubt that TFO or WFB clients would be trustworthy.

Greg,
As Bob mentions, not providing XP support simply means that we have not QA'ed or products on this configuration and therefore, do not certify that it works. However, the case may be that the vast majority of our products do already work on XP.
TeamSite 5.5.2 SP2 which is releasing sometime before the end of the year will provide XP support for all of our Web-based clients (but not the Java Templating UI).
Will will also be releasing an updated TeamSite Front-Office 5.5.2 version that provides XP support as well. We are shooting for sometime later this year or early next year for this release.

As of the end of May, TeamSite Front-Office 5.6 has released enabling desktop (thick) client support for both Windows XP and Office XP.
