External Task to External Task

Hi,
I have developed a workflow where first external task will get a lock of a file of workarea and then second external task will unlock it and submit it to Staging area. So the flow is

start---->external Task 1----->external Task 2 ---->end

external task 1 calls file 'test1.ipm' and external task 2 calls file 'test2.ipm' file.Both the files are working fine separately,but once executed from teamsite GUI,not working.
I have attached the files for your reference,Please reply.

Files working separately means... Are you executing the files through command prompt?

Actually i am new to TeamSite and doing this just by my knowledge only.dont know much.Thanks for the information,i will take care of coding standards.

w.r.t the problem i mentioned in this thread,has been solved.it was due to the permission restrictions.
