CGI Task - Ok\Cancel Button

Hi All,

I am new to TeamSite.I have to create a workflow with first task as a 'CGI Task' .I am a beginner of perl.basically i have to create a 'OK and Cancel button form' using CGI Task.If it is 'OK' ,it will go next Task, otherwise if a user clicks on 'Cancel' it will End the workflow.Could you please help me on this?

and also i am not getting any material on CGI Perl coding on internet,if any one of you have it,please share it with me.

There should be a lot of cookbooks on perl and CGI. As per your requirement, i suggest you to go step by step.
1. Create a standalone CGI script which could be previewed.
2. Create the workflow and try to invoke the same.
Once invoked and you are able to see your CGI as first task through workflow, then it comes to your query on this post.
3. Then there you need to define callback based on your button click.

I am able to create the OK/Cancel buttons.now how to provide a callback method.
if the user clicks on OK ,it should go to next task.
if the user clicks on Cancel,it should end the workflow.

Could you please write the code for callback alone.

Take a look at TeamSite CGI Sample. Re-read Workflow Developer’s Guide, it has samples, explanations, etc

I suggest you read the Workflow manual and/or the Workflow Tutorial Supplement - despite being old, the tutorial supplement still contains a lot of useful information.

The task information is passed into the script as a form variable, and you should be using TeamSite::CGI_lite's iwcallback method instead of TeamSite::WFtask's CallBack method.

Every file being used in workflow has some default params viz. job id, task id and workarea. You can extract the same using $ARGV[0], $ARGV[1], $ARGV[1] respectively unless and until you are providing any other custom param within command.

In case, your custom param would be listed prior to the default.

You should probably learn to read and understand questions a bit more before you both responding. CGI Task scripts are not passed command line arguments using @ARGV - they are passed form variables.

External Task scripts are passed parameters on @ARGV.

Hi ,
I have passed the taskid as a form variable and it is working fine.i am able to see taskid in my log file and UI with OK/Cancel button.

Learn CGI, take training or hire somebody who knows this stuff. Btw, in programming it is usually a bad idea to freely
mix languages within the same module (like your soup of JS and Perl Commands).

I can't really say must more than what ISCBorisB has already pointed out. You need to learn how to code or hire someone to do it for you. For us to fix your code in this forum for free - when you're getting paid for the result on your end - is unreasonable (IMO).
