Accented charaters not appearing in Sitemap

Hi Experts,

We are about to start work on Spanish version of our site using Livesite 3.0 with Teamsite 6.7.2 on Solaris 10.

While working on POC I found that Sitemap in Livesite do not support internationalization. I tried adding accented characters but it does not appear correctly.

I tried adding "ó" or "é" but they are not appearing.

Has any one addressed this issue differently? or any patch been request ?

Try using &eactue; for "é" in node name field.

We use the decimal representation for special characters such as é
The only one we've used is ® for a registered trade mark, but if it works for one...

I used some Japanese char to display on component. I was also facing same problem but for time being I convert those char in Unicode and displaying. But yet to find proper solution..

all livesite content is stored UTF-8 so it will handle hight byte chars.

Make sure your browser is set to UTF-8 as well.

We too are facing problem and after discussing it with support team conclusion is you cannot have it.
Reason: Sitemap does not support HTML tags and so italicization and other language support which require HTML escaping is not supported.

Manu,

As per the Autonomy Support Engineer, they mentioned of using in sitemap node name to appear as italicized. but for any specific character such as "ó" or "é" is supported but in node name we shall provide "& oacute;" and "& eacute;" respectively. Then maybe on breadcrumb or sitemap component we just need to provide disable-output-escaping="yes" to render these character.

I just tried same and is working like charm.

Do keep note of one thing: that in SiteMap tab these name shall be displayed with HTML entity and not as converted UTF-8 characters.
