Tracking Reviewer's action (External Task)
speridian
Hi,
TeamSite 6.7.1 SP1, Windows 2003 SP1, WFM 1001.
In the review task, is it possible to track the history of actions taken by the reviewer? We need to pass on this information to the successor task - which is an external task.
Does TeamSite do that automatically or do we need to write a script for this purpose?
Thanks,
Ajit

There is nothing OOTB, you have to write a custom script to be executed between each task transitions and attach the variables defined to the workflow task.
for example, you will Initialize few variables which you want to capture in an external task and on each execution of this external task, either you append the task comments from previous task or can increment the counter as how may times did the reviewer rejected the content (to say) and so on.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

That depends on what you really mean by the "History of Actions". For example, this external Task you were
talking about may obtain all Transition Information using TeamSite::WFtask::GetComments Method and then filter
out "Transition/Transition Comment" information by the Review Task name.
