Creation of mediabin container with permission using java API
sikkandarraja
Hi,
How to create a new container with permission in mediabin programatically(Java API).
Now I am using mediabin 4.5.3 version. I found only one method called " createContainer(java.lang.String parentContainerID, java.lang.String name, java.lang.String description)" . But it gives "full control" permission to that container. But i want to change as "read control" when creating the container. How can i achieve this.
Thanks in advance
Sikkandar

The only flexibility that exists comes from the fact that the method inherits the security of the parent folder. Therefore if you can make sure that the parent has the desired permission, all future additions should act as expected.
Apart from that, the web services API does not currently expose methods to set security.

Hi Lyman,
Thanks for your response.
Is any other look and feel (blue) for the mediabin web client?.
Thanks
Sikkandar

Nothing OOTB. You can customize the web client as you want. It will be an additional step to re-implement the customizations when you upgrade.
