Hi,

I am new to LiveSite and using LiveSite 3.0.

Can you please help me understanding the execution process of any .page file in LiveSite Runtime Environment. We are using WebSphere 6.0 Application Server.

I would like to know what classes are called and does it call the database as well. Also the functioning of page servlet.

What I will suggest is go through all the LiveSite pdfs.
It will really help you in understanding the basics.

If still(after going through the pdfs) You need help then I am eager to help you out.

Livesite page rendering is a black box process.

you can add externals, controller, prefix code to your components and they will get executed during the page rendering process. component rendering order is not guaranteed so if you need to rely on shared data you will need to use a page level controller.
