Hi all,

I am a new TS user,

I have imported the html result and the template in the same workarea,

I can use the Visual preview to find my corresponding page.

When I press edit, the page prompt out the HTML code in notepad, but not
the template form in the same area.

How can I map the html page to the coressopnding template file to edit??
is it [iwproxy_preconnect_remap]??

In Teamsite there is no interface for editing html file whenever you try to edit then it will open in associated IDE whether from Visual Preview or TS.
Template file is a file which is used generating html or whatever you required. So while you edit any file it will open into associated IDE, Except in DCT that is open in Form Publisher and in the case of Livesite components and pages.

So you cant open html file into a template.

In order for a generated page to be treated as being generated from a DCR - the generated page needs certain TeamSite Extended Attributes (EAs) associated with it. If clicking on Edit for the HTML brings the HTML file up in notepad it means that the EAs are not present on that file.

You need to figure out how the HTML is getting generated and fix that process to ensure that the EAs get applied to the HTML file.

I don't know what you mean by "iw_bin function"
Yes - you can use iwextattr - RTM and search the forums - you should find plenty of examples.

TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryDCR=brochurelist_content_en.dcr
TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryDocumentType=content/brochurelist
TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryPT=default.tpl

The HTML is put in
/htdocs/brochoures/index_en.html

and the DCR folder is put in
/templatedata/content/brochurelist/data/brochurelist_content_en.dcr

and the TPL folder is located in
/templatedata/content/brochurelist/presentation/default.tpl

the htdocs and templatedata folder are locate in the same WORKAREA.

However, when I click to the edit btn in HTML by CCstd,
this does not return to the DCR page.

Do I need to something more after adding the EAs??
Any config file should also be modified? Thanks for your advice!

The EAs you indicated above look correct - but it's hard to tell from here.

Perhaps you can show the output of

iwextattr -l -x /.../WORKAREA/.../htdocs/brochoures/index_en.html

(Please remember to surround the output with

[html]...[/html]

tags and use Preview Post to verify that the code is readable before you Submit Reply

Do the template path request will also affected by [iwproxy_preconnect_remap] in iw.cfg??

I have added the regex param to utilize the common images and js files.

When I use iwproxy -d for debuging and click the edit button, the debug message do not return anything.

iwextattr (wrapped in Perl code or similar) or its java equivalent (wrapped in java code) is what you need to use.

I've written such code in Perl using iwextattr for thousands of files - it may take a bit of time to run - but it's generally the kind of thing you do once (or once every so often [rarely]) such that the amount of time is not all that significant. Getting the code correct to set the EAs properly is much more significant.
