iw_iterate or get_node_list returns additional CDATA nodes

We are on 6.7.1 SP1 Solaris 6.5.

When I use get_node_list() or , I get additional CDATA nodes back. This is my first project since we upgraded to 6.7.1, but I don't remember this behavior in 6.5. I am not sure if it's an 'undocumented' feature or something I missed.

My code looks like this :

my @subnodes = $node->get_node_list();

Result: I am getting CDATA note between each item.

$subnodes[0]->type(): CDATA
$subnodes[1]->type(): sub-node 1
$subnodes[2]->type(): CDATA
$subnodes[3]->type(): sub-node 2
$subnodes[4]->type(): CDATA

We are on 6.7.1 SP1 Solaris 6.5.

As for your question - consider that $comp is pointing to MainContentSection - which is a container that contains several nodes. If you wanted to, you could access:<UL>but you'd want to put conditional tests around such accessors since you're not guaranteed that the particular MainContentSection you've referenced has the sub-elements you want to dereference.

I need the ability to dynamically read through the nodes within a node. I don't know what nodes will be in there.

The challenge that I am having is that the get_node_list() and iw_iterate returns additional CDATA tags. I can use a IF statement to filter them out, but I want to check to see if anyone else had the issue because I don't recall the behavior. I wonder if it’s 6.7.1 feature or something I did wrong.
