"Invalid argument" error while log in to TS

I'm getting Invalid argument error while loggin in to teamsite. In startup I'm not getting any errors. Anybody has any idea as what is this error about.

TeamSite: 6.7.1
OS: Red Hat Linux

Have you check the log file in iw-home/local/logs directory?
Check servletd_out.log and access.log files.

Getting following error in iwtrace.log

[Fri, 06 Mar 2009 16:07:27 GMT] PANIC 0004c4b4d unknown Client connection failure
[Fri Mar 6 21:37:27 2009] local mode. Setup failed to create handle to TeamSite Login Daemon for user: root (error = 22).

Getting following error in servletd_out.log

2009-03-06 21:42:58,540 [http-8080-Processor25] ERROR com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.auth.CSClientContext () - Unexpected authentication failure
com.interwoven.cssdk.common.CSException: root(Invalid argument)

Sounds like your TS server is having problems connecting to your LDAP server for authentication.

Yes I had done LDAP configurations. Hence I had removed LDAP settings but still facing the same problem.

is this a new install? Has this ever worked before? IF so, what changed? post your iw.cfg section for authentication. Anything logged in the iwutild logs?

When I am trying to login with any user,its showing me the same error "Invalid argument".
Can any one help me how to set it?
How to check LDAP configurations?
Found these error in iwserver.log as:
"[Fri, 30 Mar 2012 16:07:27 GMT] PANIC 0004c4b4d unknown Client connection failure"

Please help me in resolving this.

For the above issue, while checking in iwserver.los I found that "PAM/LOCAL authentication mode not set." while i started and stopped the server i foung these line written in log.

Can any one help me in what the above statement means.

Recently have you made any OS Upgrade?

Configurations of LDAP should be setup correctly.

In iw.cfg file and Specify authentication method where u have to authenticate pam file.

Try with TS system user or either Super user.

Try with LDAP user & TS system user. you will be knowing if there is issue with LDAP or some thing.

if you check your servletd_out.log...my guess is you should be getting unknow hopi error. if that is the case, it is issue with user authentication and something u have to do with iw.cfg

1)Do 'iwstat -c to see whether TS server is actually running or not'
2)Check Web Daemon is running or not.
3)Post these logs which will help in solving your issue.
