Feature Requests (or maybe help?)

If these features exist, I could use some help making them work. If not, I'd like them added to any "feature request" list Interwoven may have:

--Hashing/pattern-matching of field input. In other words things like ###-##-#### for Social Security numbers or #-#####-#####-# for UPC codes, that sort of thing. Would help alot with metadata accuracy and integrity.

--In the bottom-left web client pane that has the Folders and Find tabs, the ability to have Find be the default, instead of Folders.

--A "sticky" in these forums on features Interwoven is working on. We feel like we're in the dark trying to figure out whether to customize, wait for a new feature, how to plan heirarchy based on featureset, etc.

The first two can be/have been achieved as customizations in the MB web client.

On the pattern-matching we were rather hoping it would be at the field-definition level in the Admin (PC) client...i.e. a feature instead of a custom code.

The Folder/Find tab issue I was was rather hoping it was just an obscure settings file change, which would make it easier to document and would not accidentally get trampled on during future upgrades.

You know our paranoid aversion to customized code these days. Smiley Wink

Besides, in today's economy, it's doubtful we could get a coder in. If we can't do it ourself, it's unlikely to fly.

Migrateduser

To make the Find tab the default, it's a pretty simple change. Here are the details.

1. Edit the main.js file located in the web client\js directory.

2. Search for: function OnLoad() , which is around line 70.

3. Scroll down to the end of this function and add the following: OnClickFindTab();

It should look like the following:

}
OnClickFindTab();
}

4. Save the file. The next time you log into the web client the Find tab will be displayed as the default mode.
