i want to prepare a deployment script which would pick all the modified and new files from my development area in teamsite to the producton box. can someone help me in sending me the code in either perl or shell scripting for acheiving the goal.

If you go through the Open Deploy Configuration Guide (pdfs) you will get lots of information how to compose a deployment descriptor. You can also do this using UI of Open Deploy.
You can also get helps from given deployment descriptor file from od-home\conf directory, like "test.xml" etc.

actually i require 2 scripts. 1 zip file containing all the files updated or newly added and a file containing their paths . i now want 2 scripts the first one to prepare a zip file at the development area and another script which would unzip the the package at the production environment and place the updated files at their desired location.

Have you read any of the OpenDeploy manuals?
Have you taken any OpenDeploy training?
If not - perhaps you should get your money back from Interwoven since you do not seem to have a clue as to how to use a product you've shelled out money for and don't seem inclined to learn about it.
