converting .tpl to .xsl

Hi friends,

We have a requirement for converting the existing TPLs to XSLTs.
My query is:
The existing tpl is using perl modules and perl code. How would we achieve this functionality in XSLT.

for example: the tpl uses my $dcr_name = iwpt_get_dcr_name();

Now how would I achieve the above functionality in the XSLT.
Please help.

As per my knowledge there is no XSLT prestation tags doc provided by Interwoven currently.
There is DevNet Webcast on XSLT, you can find it and hope this will give help.

As DCR is an xml file ,so you have to read an xml file using xslt and present it.

I don't know that weather XSLT will support perl modules or not ?
I am just suggesting another way to get DCR_Name using xslt.
As DCR is an xml record,so you can use an xsl variable as

[HTML][/HTML]

But this function "base-uri()" will give you the complete path along with the file name.
If you are looking at exact file name then explore on net,definitely you will find some solution.

In case of tpl we use perl-modules and Interwoven Form-API.
But in case of xsl,we have to use it as xsl's way
to read the DCR(xml).IW elemnts needs to be replaced by xsl elements ,like

iw_value name="dcr.****.yyy"

is being replaced by

xsl:value-of select="dcr/****/yyy"

In the similar manner instead of IW formapi,you need to use xsl.
