Hi all,

I am new to MB Server,we have two MB servers DEV and PROD.
I production server we developed directory structure.how to copy the same directory structure to Dev server.There is any easy way to copy directory structure to Dev server.Please give me a idea how to solve this proble.

You should copy the SQL DB and the MBDataDirectory to accomplish this. There are a few more settings in the SQL tables that need to be changed.

I am not sure what all you need to preserve (e.g., how complicated your security model is). The simplest way to make a lot of folders appear in a MediaBin is to mock up what you want in a filesystem and then drag the tree into the Windows Native Client. Apart from that, I would suggest a script that recursively walks one tree and creates folders in another.

Direct manipulation of the SQL would be a bit messy (although not impossible). Containers actually affect multiple tables and not just (as one might expect) the Containers table! Ths is primarily due to the fact that containers may have metadata.

Another possibility is using the Syndication Manager application to publish the contents of one server to another.

Thanks for ur response and i want one clarification what r the settings in sql tables.

And i take backup for sql db in MB Server and run the backup batchfile.This batch file copy the backupfile to another destination. but it didn't work. There is any reason for this problem

There a few values in MBSettings table that need to be changed. If you look at the table you can easily identify them. I do not have access to a system currently to give you what values need to be changed.
