Hi,
We had installed TS Search a few weeks back. While trying to test out a few CLT's today, we faced the following issue:

ERROR - Failed to find the search home directory.

Any pointers as to why this is happening?

We are on TS 6.7.2, Win2k3, Search 2.1.1

Hi,
We had installed TS Search a few weeks back. While trying to test out a few CLT's today, we faced the following issue:

Is search working from CCPro or CCStd?

What was the location where you installed search and is that directory still there? If I remember correctly while installing search you need to provide search home and index home.

Search is installed on the same box as TeamSite.

Yes, I can see the search screen from CCPro and CCStd, but none of my search queries return any results. I have checked the logs for both Index and Search and there is no noticeable issue. Both these logs are right now running in DEBUG mode.

The search directory is there and I am able to see all the CLT's in the search/bin folder. I am able to change settings in search.properties and FieldMapping.xml. Both these files are being picked up by the server on a restart.

I am told that the results were showing up till about a couple of days ago, but they definitely aren't as of now.

These are the changes I had to do after a bunch of digging around:
1. Checked iwinstall folder for TS Search installation parameters. Noticed that the registry entry for Search was missing. So, I added the entry as per the install xml in the iwinstall folder.

2. Obviously there was also some corruption on the Index data. The indexer was not able to search for the 'assists' subfolder in the index data. So, I took a backup of the existing folder and created a dummy new folder. Not knowing any better, I thought it product to keep the branches.db and branches.db.bak in the new folder.

3. started the Index Server and it automatically started indexing and recreating all the folders.

4. Search is now working :-)
