Preview not working

TeamSite 6.7.1 SP1

Preview function is not working for the DCRs. When I select a file and click on preview, it does not display the page and gives an error. This is for all the branches in the store.

What can this be ? I did not change anything in configuration file.

Where can I brgin to look to solve this problem ?

What is the Environment (OS)?
Have you mapped the content center (Y drive or mount) with IIS?

when I click on the file in data folder in datatemplate, error message I get is
"The page can not be found. The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable"

The last time I had that error, we were trying to preview files with a .XHTML file extension. Turns out that IIS didn't know what to do with it, so I had to define the mime type in IIS.

Contact support. I recall we had the same issue with 6.0. IWOV provided us patch to fix the issue. The error message looks similar.

Check your access.log and error.log in iw-home/local/logs/iwui directory. What messages are there?

I dont find error.log and access.log in location specified.
I tried using "iwgwtlocation error.log". It did not give any result

* Login to the Teamsite server and go to the IIS Service and navigate through the mapped teamsite folder and try to View the file inside IIS environment.(Right click and Browse link).

If the above option works,
* Run the "iwproxy -d" and monitor the request URL for any change in pattern.

If the URL is routed to a different path, check the remap configurations? Sometimes these configurations change the Path pattern before forwarding the HTTP request to the IIS Server.
You can find the configuration in IW_HOME/etc/iw.cfg file

Hope these steps will lead you to find out the root cause of the issue.

I encountered an issue in a customer where Visual Preview was not working. I fixed it doing this:

in iw.cfg set this:
